Why do we connect LinkedIn® to a WordPress website (Blackboard for stoners)
This is the “Blackboard for stoners”, a new connected services, and a Showcase about how to increase the efficiency and be effective in LinkedIn® social network, using it as a B2B platform then. So we apply the Official LinkedIn® API upon the WordPress website (this one). It’ll work for visibility, proper contacts and good relations. More important it’ll allow us to share other stoners’ sketches into the LinkedIn! Yay! This is what we chase, and let us go through this simple showcase:
Get Connected (Sign-up)
Imagine the website which implements the Linkedin® API for the purpose of the passwordless authorization and then for the social activity in the social network. What you win: the sign-up starts being at least very convenient and totally passwordless, also secure and trustworthy, because the website starts to be a in fact a member of LinkedIn® too!! like you and me. This can be at your website, and you attract more people literally in one-click, and ease the customer access to the products and information. You remove the obstacle on the customer’s way to you: fill the form, filter webrobots with captcha or other way, and then approve visitor’s email are now needless, this is the obstacle and a big one! Afterall, removing the obstacles is what we do as the rule of e-commerce.
How it works. The social network knows this website, or your website, and it shall ask the user to grant the permision to establish the connection with the account. That’s instead of boring registration, passwords, emails and other stuff. See how it appears on the screenshot above, and think about your clients again and again. So we are connected now! It takes only few seconds, right? Once it’s done find in the very bottom of every page: your name is a link to your personal profile page. On the profile page — we put the instruments the user shall use: it can be the cart, the subscriptions, reviews, the history of orders, other useful tools. We’ve however created an abstract funny Sketching tool to bring the idea, and this are our toy for today’s talk.
Blackboard for stoners
There is a Blackboard for stoners — this is a drawing tool for sketches, an outstanding software btw integrated as an addition to a social network experience, and social networking in general. You draw a post by finger, sketching freely, and everyone is an artist. Yay ツ
You can also pick anyone’s sketch or a drawing from anyone’s personal gallery then share it into LinkedIn® !!
Each member’s profile (and yours) contains the gallery of the sketches crafted by the member using the Blackboard sketching tool. They can be shared freely if anyone find them beautiful. This is art.
This showcase chases to demonstrate how to use the API integration, showing there are no limits but fantasy, and discovering the top of the iceberg which is a huge oppotunity indeed.
There’s no limits of automation
Automation serves for the comrehensive user experience, aka UX (User eXperience). The limits of automation are unlimited indeed. Making automation is always an individual approach for reaching the goals of a website whereto we apply that automation.
“Likes” and “comments” can be automated, photos, tags, and pretty everything. Working to the social network suddenly may become a time-saver rather than a boring job. And we still stay within the Linkedin® guidelines, that’s right, still extending the application, still getting fun of being a part of the social network.
Use-cases How the automation may work:
— Reaching out with email notifications,
— Mentioning your customers into your posts automatically,
— Promoting the company page along, and not as a separate action,
— Targeting the audience using LinkedIn’s methods (and they know a lot about their members indeed! more than search engines I think),
— “Likes” and “comments” can be automatic and more important that they happen in time,
— Customers Reviews may be done in one click, using a composer, which shall ultimatively increase the number of these reviews as you ease the customer life (one click instead of writing, and what if they forget then you need to bother with reminders, this is terrible!! why not gain from it rather than creating inconvenience for others=))
— Mentioning people is automatic: e.g. your customers who purchased, and then you mention them, no manual job again, and you give rather than take, isn’t it nice?
— Sharing automatically your pages and posts when they are updated,
— Measure reactions, put reactions by the software means, automate the marketing stats, then you only create and let programs do the rest,
— Sharing the goods from your store,
— Scheduling everything,
— It’s endless the automation, I’ve told ya ツ
